once again, with spring, comes another addition to vakants fruitful and ever expanding family. we welcome the man formally known as cesare vs. disorder, for the first time releasing under his given name cesare marchese. in such a short period of time, cesare has amassed quite a discography and legion of fans around the world who follow him wherever he goes. yet another formally trained musician in the vakant camp, cesares music has progressed a great deal since his first release in 2006. every release drips with more and more depth and melody. his aether ep debut for vakant yet again proves why cesares accent is unstoppable. while just a 4 track ep, the aether ep covers much ground spanning afterhour afternoons to indie influenced incorrigibility, but always with that certain kink and freak that comes from a background of techno and global trotting nightlife revelry. to say deep and freaky would not be enough. to say anything would not be enough. these are tracks that must be experienced and not written about. from complete house electronics, to altered acoustic uplifts, to deep orbit accents, its all here courtesy of our new sicilian cesare

to say that matias aguayo lives in the moment would be an understatement. he thrives in the moment. one of today s most productive musicians in dance music he continues find new challenges – whether it be curating music events (most recently finding lost music and new acts from the sonoma desert of mexico for an upcoming hkw berlin series), overseeing the tremendous cómeme label imprint, and most recently joining warps favourite new york band battles as a vocalist for the lead single >ice cream<. he returns to kompakt with his first new recordings for the label since 2009s acclaimed full length >ay ay ay< – an accomplishment of its own right thanks to the fact that it was created almost entirely with samples of his voice. matias aguayo takes it back to the dance floor with what potentially could be his first obvious foray into the world of house music.

back with a bang, our old friend lance desardi goes back to his early deep house roots to bring us expressions ep. the bang the box label boss (with partner brett johnson) is known for his classic deep house sound, deeply rooted in proper american house. releases on seasons, classic & om to name but a few. hes also collaborated with jt donaldson (as undercover agency) & fred everything to name but a few. a short escapade in his live experience under the land shark disguise and mr desardi is back,ready to show us how its done with an ep that borrows from the past, present and future.
